My story

This May, I’m taking on 70k in May to support families facing hunger.

In Nairobi, parents like Fridah are growing food so their children don’t go without.

Please support my challenge this Christian Aid Week.

Walking 350 Miles in May

Total walked 180.2 - 169.8 to go. Yesterday I walked 19.7 miles doing my annual Barton to Sutton walk (around 17 miles the route I take). I joined the Sutton Methodist Fellowship Group for coffee and a cream scone. I then gave a talk of my walk/journey/pilgrimage across the Humber Bridge. I went on to tell them briefly of the work Christian Aid is doing and read Thursday's daily devotion.  It was a great day we then had a collection.

Thank you to everyone for your kind donations. It keeps me walking. X

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE DIFFERENCE FOR OTHERS XX

How your money helps

You can support families facing the daily stress of food insecurity in Nairobi.

In the crowded and noisy settlements of Nairobi, parents like Fridah wake up knowing they must earn money – otherwise their children won’t eat that evening. But with tools, seeds and training from our partner, Beacon of Hope, families can grow nutritious vegetables in small city spaces and grow hope for the future.

Every pound you raise could help:

  • provide seeds and tools so people can grow food in small spaces.
  • fund training so people can plan ahead and protect their livelihoods.
  • support community-led projects that strengthen food security and incomes.
