In Chandler’s Ford, the streets filled with bikes, colour and community spirit as families, friends and neighbours came together for a joyful cycle ride in support of Christian Aid Week.

1,000 miles for change
Godfrey Meynell, now 90, walked the equivalent of 1,000 miles to raise funds for Christian Aid – showing how dedicated our supporters can be.
Motivated by compassion for parents watching their children grow up without enough to eat, he used his grit and generosity to raise money for Christian Aid Week.
His fundraising has funded transformative projects in Burundi, helping people fight poverty with training and support.
Sweet smell of hope
During Christian Aid Week, Sue Baxter from Uttoxeter Christian Aid Group and Uttoxeter Methodist Church turned cakes into change.
What began in the pandemic as a simple cake sale over her garden wall gave neighbours a reason to pause, connect and give.
With the support of local churches, her delicious home-baked treats raised important funds for Christian Aid, showing community spirit in Uttoxeter can change lives far beyond.
