This May, I’m taking on Christian Aid's 70k in May again with a target of cycling an average of 10 miles a day through the month, so 310 total, along with walking the RNLI May Day mile a day in May.
This Christian Aid Week, we're learning about families facing hunger in Nairobi , Kenya and how Christian Aid partners are supporting them in creative, practical, sustainable ways
Parents like Fridah are growing food in small city spaces so their children can eat. With tools, seeds and training, families can face the present and plan for the future.
Please support my challenge this Christian Aid Week now I've decided what it is!

I didn't cycle or walk on 1st JUNE !
I didn't cycle or walk on 1st May but added 16.37 miles on Tuesday 2nd June.....so 700k topped. Campaign not complete.... but this page stays open until 16th June so hope. Cash now paid in - hoping for some more generosity
Job done = 421.08 miles : that's satisfactory - a daily average of 13.58; cycled on 24/31 days
least = 4.62; most = 42.47 on penultimate day
but I've realised that if I'd managed 435 miles, that would be 700km for the 70k in May challenge .....so I just may have to add 14 miles tomorrow, albeit on 1st of June
I'll pay the cash I have received in sponsorship into this page tomorrow but I'll not be near my target £500
277.72 miles - 17/23 days cycled - the most in a day so far was Thursday this week = 33.60 miles
no extra sponsorship recently - must encourage it
off to the Isle of Wight tomorrow but have hired a bike for Monday
I assume you received the automatic acknowledgement and thank you but I would have sent a personal one if I could!
I've cash sponsorship at church to add to this page - waiting until after this Sunday to do that.
3 non-cycling days this week so below the 10 mile a day average - but 20 miles yesterday and planning a 25+ miler during half term
eleven days done so just over a third of May - and just about on target - cycled on 9 of the 11 days with a current total of 111.81 miles - longest day = 17.64 miles. But I'll do at least one 'real cycle ride' of 20+ miles during half term
So the decision is made : my cycling target is an average of 10 miles a day - a total of at least 310 miles in 31 days
And that's along with finding time to walk at least one mile every day for RNLI's Mayday mile a day in May.. The page for that, should you wish to double your support, is

thank you!
Congratulations! This activity has received its first donation!
