This May, I’m walking 70k with my border terrier, Logie, to raise funds to support families experiencing poverty and struggling to feed their children.
Like Fridah, a widowed grandmother living In Nairobi, who is the sole provider for her family. Fridah faced the daily struggle of earning enough money to buy food but with Christian Aid's support, she learned how to become an urban farmer. Now Fridah grows her own food to feed her family with enough left over to sell at market. Fridah has a stable source of income giving her and her family a more secure future.
Please sponsor my 70k in May walk to help families like Fridah's. £5 could buy seeds for a family's vegetable garden; £10 could pay for a pair of chickens that produce fertiliser; £15 could purchase hand tools to tend crops; and £30 could buy the trio of cone garden planters that host hundreds of plants in a tiny city space.

Week 3 and we have achieved our 70K! A final flourish with an early morning walk through Tatton Park yesterday. Thank you all for your support and donations. I’ve reassured Logie that we will keep on walking. The Peak District awaits us this week.
We crossed an international border for our walk this week - to Wales! Then back for a long walk in Tatton Park with local trips around Bowdon and Hale. We’ve now walked 56km on the challenge and are on the home stretch!
Weekly total 33.5km. Walks in Tatton Park, Dunham Massey, Dunham, along the canal, Hale and Bowdon. Logie is enjoying the challenge!
