My story

Year has flown by since I asked you to support this worthy charity which many of you did most generously. I know that many of us have been affected by the increased costs of living, inflation, and high energy bills. There are many more who are affected by the affects of climate change, earthquakes, and conflicts 

We dream of a better world. We want every child to be able to have the education they need to break free of poverty. We imagine a future where crops are not flattened by cyclones and washed away by floods.

Parents like Fridah are growing food in small city spaces so their children can eat. With tools, seeds and training from our partner Beacon of Hope, families can plan for the future.

How your money helps

You can support families facing the daily stress of food insecurity in Nairobi.

In the crowded and noisy settlements of Nairobi, parents like Fridah wake up knowing they must earn money – otherwise their children won’t eat that evening. But with tools, seeds and training from our partner, Beacon of Hope, families can grow nutritious vegetables in small city spaces and grow hope for the future.

  • provide seeds and tools so people can grow food in small spaces.
  • fund training so people can plan ahead and protect their livelihoods.
  • support community-led projects that strengthen food security and incomes.
