My story

This Christian Aid Week, we're supporting families facing hunger in Nairobi. 

Parents like Fridah are growing food in small city spaces so their children can eat. With tools, seeds and training, families can plan for the future. 

Christian Aid supporters help millions of people in the most vulnerable communities transform their lives. Between 2024 and 2025, the organisation worked with partners to directly reach 4.1 million people via almost 400 projects, from savings and loans associations to farming co-operatives, and climate disaster risk training to healthcare schemes.

How your money helps

You can support families facing the daily stress of food insecurity in Nairobi.

In the crowded and noisy settlements of Nairobi, parents like Fridah wake up knowing they must earn money – otherwise their children won’t eat that evening. But with tools, seeds and training from our partner, Beacon of Hope, families can grow nutritious vegetables in small city spaces and grow hope for the future.
