My story
We're fundraising this Christian Aid Week to support families facing hunger.
In Nairobi, parents like Fridah are growing food in small spaces to make sure their children can eat. With support from Christian Aid and Beacon of Hope, families are learning how to grow food and build more secure futures.
On Spring Fair day, passers-by helped plant runner bean and sunflower seeds, to be grown on in buckets alongside Buxton Methodist Church - our own little urban plot, like our friends in Kenya.

We had a successful seed-planting session at the Spring Fair on 4th May, and the pots have now been taken to foster homes, to be nurtured until the seedlings are large enough to be planted out in buckets along the south side of the church, in early summer.
