My story

We are fundraising this Christian Aid Week at Malmesbury's Market Cross to support families facing hunger.

In Nairobi, parents are growing food in small spaces to make sure their children can eat. With support from Christian Aid and Beacon of Hope, families are learning how to grow food and build more secure futures.

Thank you for any support you’re able to give.

Can you bake for our sale please?

We are getting excited about our cake sale next Saturday! Could you help fill our sales tables by offering to bake a cake?

Please bring any bakes to the Market Cross before 9.30am.

Thanks so much!

How your money helps

You can support families facing the daily stress of food insecurity in Nairobi.

In the crowded and noisy settlements of Nairobi, parents like Fridah wake up knowing they must earn money – otherwise their children won’t eat that evening. But with tools, seeds and training from our partner, Beacon of Hope, families can grow nutritious vegetables in small city spaces and grow hope for the future.

Every pound you raise could help:

  • provide seeds and tools so people can grow food in small spaces.
  • fund training so people can plan ahead and protect their livelihoods.
  • support community-led projects that strengthen food security and incomes.
